On 19 Feb 2024, Justice Palmer published his decision about the Waikiwi case (Feed Families Not Pokies Inc v Secretary for Internal Affairs). GMANZ opposed the application in the High Court. In this instance the Judge ruled in favour of the applicant, who applied for a declaration that the Waikiwi route has not been available since 2013. This decision does not affect the validity of the licenses amended by the Secretary under the Waikiwi route since 2013. The full decision document is available as a PDF below.
