Hora Hora Primary School compete at Kapa Haka

Hora Hora Primary School in Whangarei were very excited to have their tamariki perform at the national Kapa Haka championships.

The Lion Foundation gave a grant of $1923 to help with accommodation costs as the school traveled to compete at the NZ Kapa Haka Championships in Cambridge.

You can watch their performance on Maori Television https://www.maoritelevision.com/haka/te-mana-kuratahi-2019/groups/nga-matapuna-o-hora-hora/274486#video-player

The Lion Foundation gave a grant of $1923 to help Hora Hora Primary School, in Whangarei, with accommodation costs to compete at the NZ Kapa Haka Championships in Cambridge.

“The children did brilliantly, winning awards for Y1-6 schools and costumes. The grant made this possible: without it our community would have had to contribute even more of their hard-earned and scarce resources.”
