About The Foureyes Foundation

The Foureyes Foundation – founded by Wellington-based optometrist Ravi Dass and wife Stephanie Hill – run a fortnightly clinic in Wairarapa, screening and testing primary school children and fitting them with prescription glasses, as required, for free. When a person buys a pair glasses from Mr Foureyes, the business allocates another pair to the Foureyes Foundation.

What the grant went towards

The Trust House Foundation grant enables the Foureyes Foundation to conduct free eye tests for primary school children in Wairarapa.

What this meant for the organisation

Eyesight problems in children can often go undetected. Having their need identified and then remedied by the provision of corrective glasses can be a turning point in a child’s life. Recognising that the cost of eye tests were a barrier for some families in addressing eyesight problems in their children, the Foureyes Foundation decided to focus on removing that barrier, and provide the eye tests for free.
