Rugby for Life Charitable Trust

Rugby for Life aims to develop people and communities, embrace positive change, and nurture pride within the people of Northland.

Dedicated to promoting the values of teamwork, inclusivity, and personal development through rugby communities at the grassroots level. Their programmes provide opportunities to learn, grow, connect and thrive both on and off the field.

Grassroots Trust provided funding of $236,666.67 towards the operational costs of numerous salary expenses within the Organisation. Vital for ensuring the smooth operation and effectiveness of Rugby for Life’s programmes and initiatives. Along

with the major component in the delivery of leading social and economic change within the community.

Ajit Balsingham, Chairman said, “Grassroots Trust funding has allowed us the ability to see our vision of harnessing the power of rugby to create socio-economic change in our Northland communities. Being able to place Rugby for Life coordinators in our partner rugby clubs means that our bottom-up approach to overcoming nuanced and different issues

across a large geographical area continues to be successful in its positive impact for our people.
