A recent feasibility study of the church concluded the roof was not structurally sound. The future of the category 1 Historic Building was in doubt so the Trust approached The Lion Foundation and was awarded $35,000.
The community rallied together and raised an additional $31,785 towards the project.
“With bolstered spirits after The Lion Foundation’s generous grant, our local community well and truly gathered together and gave their all.
I personally, am so proud of the connection between the Trust’s restoration project and our small but fierce community.” – Sid Carter, Trustee
