About Badminton New Zealand
Badminton New Zealand inspires Kiwis to ‘love badminton for life’ by growing, developing and supporting badminton in all communities across New Zealand. Badminton New Zealand delivers national development programmes for Kiwi kids, holds national events for thousands of players and provides a pathway for coaches, officials, administrators and volunteers to engage in badminton.
What the grant went towards
Funding received from Grassroots Trust that contributed $20,000 towards salary costs have enabled Badminton New Zealand to engage a Community Manager in Hawke’s Bay.
What this meant for the organisation and its members
Badminton is thriving in Hawke’s Bay thanks to a Community Manager who is dedicated to fostering the sport and supporting the players across the region. The Community Manager ensures the delivery of programmes and initiatives that strengthen the player base and enable the club to function on an operational level.
